Mereside Farm was originally part of the Duke of Westminster’s estate, and whilst the farmhouse dates back to the 1770’s, The Old Dairy - as its name suggests, originally a milking parlour - was built in 1904, before being lovingly converted into guest accommodation in 2007, and has undergone a series of constant improvements ever since.
The Old Dairy is a cosy ground-floor conversion, sleeping up to two people, and comes with exposed beams and an open-plan living area, with comfy sofa and armchair, smart TV, and a full-size fitted kitchen (new in 2019) with oven, induction hob, dishwasher and microwave. Outside, there's direct access onto a large patio with seating - part of a south-facing walled garden.
Elsewhere, the individually designed apartment includes superking-size (or twin) bedroom - with quality bedding, sprung mattress, and hairdryer - plus an en-suite with shower over bath, large fluffy towels on heated rail and complimentary toiletries.
There’s underfloor heating throughout and free, unlimited superfast wi-fi too. In addition, we supply a complimentary selection of teas, coffees, hot chocolate and biscuits, whilst there will be fresh milk in the fridge as well.
Friendly dogs are welcomed to The Old Dairy (there's a one-off charge) with their own bowl, towel and throw, but they mustn't be left unattended in the building at any time. The Boathouse and many other cafés and pubs in Ellesmere accept dogs, whilst there are a plenty of countryside walks from your doorstep.
