Mereside Farm was originally part of the Duke of Westminster’s estate, and whilst the farmhouse dates back to the 1770s, The Hayloft - as its name suggests, originally a traditional hayloft - was built in 1904, before being lovingly converted into guest accommodation in 2011 and completely refurbished in 2019.
A beautiful conversion - with its exposed beams and original 'bulls-eye' window, through which the hay would've been 'pitched' through - The Hayloft is a first-floor apartment, in a separate building to The Old Dairy and The Shippon, and sleeps up to three people. Featuring an open-plan living area with large full-size fitted kitchen (including oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge and microwave), dining table and chairs, comfy sofa and armchair, and smart TV.
Elsewhere, the individually designed apartment includes a large bedroom with both a double and single bed (suitable for those requiring twin beds or for family accommodation), both with quality bedding and sprung mattresses, TV, wardrobe, full-length mirror, hairdryer and en-suite shower with large fluffy towels on heated rail and complimentary toiletries.
There’s underfloor heating throughout and free, unlimited superfast wi-fi too. In addition, we supply a complimentary selection of teas, coffees, hot chocolate and biscuits, whilst there will be fresh milk in the fridge as well.
